First of all, I would like to say thank you for being interested in this project.
My name is Renata Noyce and I am the founder of this project. I am BSc in Psychology (Honours); GMBPsS; Portage practitioner and SDG certified (The Sustainable Development Goals); IPSEA SEND LAW
course; I am international speaker (United Kingdom, Brazil and Portugal); I promote workshops for SEND families and I have been mentoring SEND projects in Brazil; I am a co-author of two books which will be launched in July 2023. The first book is about promoting resilience and the second book is about the SDG the United Nation 2030 agenda, which I am certified and promoting it. I am married and a mum of a 14-year-old autistic son and a 7-year-old daughter. I’m originally from Brazil and have been a British citizen since 2018. However, I have lived in the UK since 2004.

The objective of the project is to support families and their children with special needs and mental health conditions.
We have been struggling for many years with the decreasing of availability of SEND services and for the support of Mental Health.
Unfortunately, our brilliant NHS system is huge strain and not many professionals and investment have been contracted by NHS to meet the demand.

With all that in mind, my project was on paper well before the COVID pandemic and I have decided that is the right time to put it in practice. However, when my idea was being put together, my mind was on you. Yes! You out there, health professionals; education; Mental Health therapists; Occupational therapists, Speech and Language therapists; Hairdressers; beauty specialists; Bakers; Chefs; entertainers; Local Authorities; charities; Parent Forums; Solicitors; volunteers; artisans;
musicians; restaurants because this Project needs the whole community in the United Kingdom as it is necessary around the world.

We have been talking so much about inclusion; inequality; discrimination; racism; mental health and we are forgetting that nothing can be changed if we are not be united. We need to value our abilities including everyone with Special Needs and Disabilities. Everyone has so much to share and we only need the opportunity. This Project is 100% about opportunity to everyone as we share our expertise; ideas and services because, there is always someone out there needing us to
help.

My experience was working in the retail management in Brazil before coming to the UK as a student. When I got married in 2008, my career changed and for almost 14 years I worked in the health and educational sector. There are probably parents with a very similar story, which is brilliant. My life changed completely when I noticed my son was different when he was 1 year old. My battle started at that time and going through to the maze system was very detrimental.

For 14 years I have dedicated myself to learn how to support my son and I started to studying to gain knowledge as a  professional and my qualifications to carry on and help others as well. In 2012, I received a call from a family who saw a post on Facebook about Autism where I was talking about my son’s struggles and his complicated, lengthy process for a diagnosis. Since that first call, I became volunteer and, on my days off or after work I freed up some time to help a family to go through the process. I did many courses offered by charities and organizations and one in particular was the SEND Law from IPSEA.

In 2021 after a serious health issue which I have survived from a SEPSIS (kidney) by miracle I left ICU a live and what could be so traumatic I have used to motivate myself to live, to love my family and friends and working through a job which could give me opportunity to help others in need. My business WISE ADVICE UK started in July 2021 because of my health I was limited to work as an employee.

Starting a business during a crisis such as the COVID pandemic for many people it was not the right idea but for me I did not have an option. However, it was the most rewarding business I could create. I started on a part time basis and I have already helped over 400 families throughout the UK, offering a holistic SEND support, from navigating through the system; contacting services; applications; meetings with service providers and clients; supporting with EHCP and school meetings and much more.

This is my background experience which I thought is important to share with you before I share the Project’s full description about how it will work and the contract.

I would like to share with you my interview on BBC TV where I stated my experiences as a volunteer and a professional. The title was not a happy title and for that, my focus on this project is intense.
